Insurance, Next Stop Web 3.0

Session Description
In Winter 2021 and Summer 2022, we conducted a large-scale empirical study, the “Insurance: The Digital Paradox" in Switzerland and Germany. The research compared and contrasted insurers' assessments of customer centricity maturity levels of their digital channels against the perceptions of diverse generational of consumers who buy insurance online. The study revealed a significant gap in most insurers and articulated unmet customers' expectations of their ideal customer journey.
In our new study, we address the cross-world customer experience and seek to investigate how Web 3.0 can change the current customer experience. During the session, we will explore the initial findings and dive deeper into the potential business opportunities that insurance companies could develop to help to navigate this new wave of disruption more effectively and enable them to start making better decisions today about meeting tomorrow's expectations of customers.

⦁ Is the metaverse just hype or are there a real business cases for adoption in the insurance industry?

⦁ The truth is a little of both. Plenty of companies will build you a 3D customer experience today that may leave you questioning why you have it. However, advances in technology and changes in culture allow improved engagement with customers and employees, and to establish new business ecosystems and revenue models.
